Well I ordered a Samsung SyncMaster 932MW today because I really felt like replacing my 16 year old TV, but the cool thing is it has also a DVI port so you can connect it to a PC. Well my question is like the title says, does anyone know if a DVI cable is included with Samsung TVs or do I have to buy a separate one?

Thanks for infos in advance Gongxi
probably not. big companies like to part you and your cash

edit: i just checked up and it does have a DVI-D Connection my bad but it doesn't come with a cable

my HD tv i just bough like 3 months ago came with no cale other then the power cord... i use dvi to hdmi as my pc only has dvi and my tv hdmi.... great picture though... really good for HD anime

and and hdmi and dvi cords arent exactly cheap.. i got an off brand that was only 3 feet and it cost $70.... the name brand ones cost about 10-20 $ more
Thanks for the info guys, I will go buy a DVI to DVI cord tomorrow, I saw one for 12€ in a shop^^
Just an For your information...$70 for a dvi cable is rediculous

Here is where wee get our cables for work

http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp

dvi/hdmi/hdsdi cables are all digital..there is no way to loose signal qualtiy...either the signal is transfered from source to destination or it is not.  Monster cable is feeding everyone rich creamy chocolately pudding saying their dvi/hdmi cables give a better signal quality.  Unless you are running 7.1 surround sound with a 1080p signal over an hdmi cable, the only time you will notice a difference is in distances close to 100 feet...but even then its going to be more of a 'it works or it doesn't' ;)

hope that helps a little bit :)
Thanks for the infos and the link SchmilK!

by the way does anyone know what the "Picture by Picture" feature is? I know of "Picture in Picture" and "Picture and Picture" but I can't find any infos on "Picture by Picture" is it just another term for "Picture by Picture"?
Taken from Wiki:

Picture and Picture (PAP, P&P) (commonly referred to as PBP - Picture by Picture) is a related feature showing two programs side-by-side on the screen, with the sound from one program being played through the speakers, and the sound from the other being sent to headphones.

[Not on Trillian yet? >_<]
Thanks for the info Sensei! Now I really can't await my TV, that's a hell of a feature!^^
