so i was checking out a french psp theme and the readme had a french site so i went there and then i started clicking around and stumbled on what appears to be a new screen capture plugin that captures animated gif :O

http://oxiplay.forumpro.fr/les-new-psp-f...n-t189.htm

a very poor translation from a babbling fish says
Spoiler for readme:
Babbling Fishes Wrote:SMALL VIDEO OF YOUR XMB
OR OF YOUR EXPLOITS ON A JEU.JUSTE WITH YOUR PSP

with capture prx by assassin you will be able to take screen and video GIF
of your xmb or in plien play.

Download then decompress the file
to place the file seplugins has the root of your memory stick
to pass in recovery mode return in plugins
- to activate the line of order capture.prx[vhs ] on enabled to take screen and video GIF of your xmb
- to activate the line of order capture.prx[game ] on enabled to take screen and video GIF of your play

to take a screen touches L notes music:le screen will be to place in the photo file of your psp
to take a video GIF touches R notes music video:la will be in the file photo/svcplayer
to remake R notes music for stoper the catch the video one
THIS DOES WORK FOR GIF RECORDING!!

But you have to activate it by pressing R Trigger THEN note button (and the same to quit)

The captured files go to
ms0:/psp/photo for single shot
ms0:/psp/photo/svcapture  for animated .gif

i am guessing i can change those locations, in the mean tiem looky see what i made :D

even though the file says do not overwrite, it still does overwrite the video1.gif each time :(

The old SVC Capture does NOT work on 3.90 M33.    That is a fact.
The creator of the original SVC Capture seems to no longer be with the PSP scene.

So SchmilK finding this, really was a GOD send..
I was just thinking yesterday how much it sucked that I could no longer make gif previews of my PSP themes.

Best news all day!
Thanks SchmilK   [Image: smile.gif]
Actually the old capture works for 3.90 *which is the one im using at the moment* :)  and the one I used back in 3.40.  I don't know if gif capture works but as far as taking pictures it does.

Good luck

Capture prx may be working...
BUT - The old gif capture is NOT working on 3.90...
Probably not, I'll take your word on it.  I also heard once back on QJ someone was making a NEW capture plugin with new features etc it was frontpaged. But looks they dropped the project.
OK.
Hahaha...   In a way, wee where both right...

AdePSP's SVCcature.prx does not work on 3.90 M33 (at least for me), because of the .prx loading issue with 8 GB memory sticks.

But- it seems to be working again in 3.90 M33-2   :)

So yeah, the old one is just fine I guess...

My apologies to PSPKiller, and Mime.

Old SVC capture here:

it seems doesnot work for me..

notes to photo capture, no video capture available ;(
s'ok. I've never seen let alone used an 8Gb memory stick so i would'nt know that they caused problems with loading plugins. also I've never used 3.90 m33 (i just never got round to updating, I'm  on 3.80 m33 at the mo.)
OK guys.   SVC player (plays recorded gif files on PSP) is also working on 3.90 M33-2   :)

It just had to be converted to 1.00 format eboot (PSP Brew), and renamed.  (the old SCE_ was making it not show up in games list)

Here it is set up for 3XX kernel if anyone is interested:
