bro's i need help on my PC it always freeze everytime i play music on the net and on my media player any other advice?

What's your computer specs?

I can probably guess if it's on the net.  If locally however, what media player, and what's the music format?

a good friend of mine bring me a laptop which is quite old ECS 128mb of ram i really wanted to format it but he doesnot allow me he just want me to solved the problem because of valuable files on the HDD.

history: everything is fine until he bought a webcam and install the driver after that everytime he played music like mp3 on the net or on the pc itself the pc freeze

action taken: just uninstall the webcam driver and reinstall sound driver and mixer but still it freeze even when you do call on yahoo messenger.

what up vinrose. I'm guessing because of the lack of ram it hangs, why not back everything up and reinstall just explain to your friend that nothing will be lost and all will be well.

Double check that the webcam related stuff has all been removed.  I know some drivers which install a lot of useless additional stuff.

128MB RAM should be fine.  What's the CPU?

bro Z its a c3processor 1.2 ghz.

he really don't want me to reformat it so i suggest to him to disable the sound driver its working good now but with no sounds lol.

i also tried testing sound hardware and it fails always freeze.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

i will follow your advice bro Z uninstall any related drivers of webcam.

when you say reinstall Sound drivers, did you just reinstall or unistall first?

bro uninstall first restart then reinstall then restart!

is there anyway to repair windows without formatting the laptop?

you can use a windows disk to run a recovery of the existing OS, instead of just reinstalling

using floppy? i don't have floppy!

please advice how?
