i have ESET smart security v3 and it has everything i want, it covers my networking, it has a firewall and it does do what diego said, scans files as they are downloaded/copied accross to the computer from an external source.
i reccommend ESET smart security over mcaffee, standard Nod32 and definately over norton!

I'll get ESET Security Center then, Sygate is getting old.
I NEVER use ANYTHING apart from NOD32 ~ Its On-Demand Scanner and Internet Monitor are some of the best you'll find anywhere. Norton have just rebranded their work 360 to give new light to an old product ~ it does have as good a detection rate and NOD32 is much more thorough

well i doubt you would buy anything in terms of antivirus but my cousin recently bought bit deffender and he said tis the best invest he has made.. it has better protection that norton and also they are the most frequently updated antivirus.
I used to use BitDefender but you have to keep opening it and doing stuff, with NOD32 there are no pop-ups NOPTHING AT ALL, it will do everything on its own.

you've convinced me along with diego, so I'm gonna get ESET Smart Security and ditch McAfee.
though do you pay for it, or have you just got it cracked? (not that it matters, just curious lol) :D
my dad uses windows live onecare and i avnt had n e problems wit it so far.... i prefer it over mcAfee n e way!

thanks for replying. eventhough windows live onecare might be working well for you, i have read some bad things about it.
I'll stick with ESET because they make really good anti-virus programs
NOD32. But there's others that can still keep you up.
