I just don't understand why it needs ptf file if you can make ctf from vhs and font folders that it allows you to load. Any help?

Just an educated guess, but some parts of the PTF is used so it will show up under the XMB theme settings, and for an easy PTF style preview.

^^ like zero says it need the ptf to get the color data (like the month color), it also gets the icon and preview pic from it... you don't need to creat a full ptf, just add the things you need and that's it

By the way, I was trying to make ctf using this application and it delivers except that the wallpaper support. Is it not supposed to have the wallpaper included in the ptf file? Thanks.

Sorry, haven't used this, so dunno where you'd put the wallpaper.
CXMB 3.1 suports wallpaper,.. just add it in sony ptf theme manager when you make your ptf file,.. for use in Red Squirrel's manager,. :)
