Quote: A new custom firmware has recently surfaced and - guess what? - it isn't from Dark AleX. Homebrew developer Yellow_Rain dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development forum and informed us that a new custom firmware based on the 3.90 M33 build can now be downloaded and installed into your PlayStation Portable.
This unofficial patch, based on the most recent custom firmware released by Dark AleX, contains a reversed and updated popcorn.prx. Also, a hex-edited vshctrl.prx and a new GetVersion opcode were both updated in this new build.
The developer has tested and confirmed that CFW 3.93 M33 works for both the classic and Slim PSP. Please take note that it only flashes the changed modules, so make sure that you have CFW 3.90 M33-2 installed on your handheld before running the patch.
To give you a better idea of how to install this new custom firmware into your handheld, here's a video showing off the installation process. As always, make sure to thoroughly read the documentation included in the program before installing it.

Unoffical 3.93 M33 by Yellow_Rain
ALL credits go to Dark_AleX for the M33 firmwares

As Dark_AleX probably isn't going to make 3.93 M33, here is a small patch to use the latest features
Contains reversed and updated popcorn.prx.
Plus an hex-edited vshctrl.prx to say 3.93 M33 (GetVersion opcode also patched)
Tested and working on Slim and Classic PSP's :)
Again, ALL credits goes to Dark_AleX, I only updated popcorn.prx, HEX-edited vshctrl, and wrote this flasher
Uses libpsar.prx and pspdecrypt.prx from RSPsardumper.
It only flashes the changed modules, so it only works from 3.90 M33-2.
Copy the contents of ms_root to your memory stick, then put the 393.PBP in the root of your memory stick :)
If you used this before, please run it again, a very nasty bug has been fixed ;)
Enjoy.
