how are these pictures taken? reading wikipedia, one way is several images with different exposures are tone mapped together, or are these shots taken with a specific HDR lens or what? this stuff is so cool

i too was wondering what 'hdr' process was.
hdr are images are made by taking about 4-8 photos of an image in different contrasts low-high
then you use photoshop or certain software to blend and merge the images so you get all the detail from the low light, normal light and bright images in one normal image which makes it hdr.
it also recommends yuou use a low iso setting to reduce artifacts
