So, the city is sort of upside-downish because a kid got some strange flu. Actually it's pretty fudgeed up though, they thought it was a normal flu but he then suffered brain damage and is now a retard*.

So all the primary schools closed for two weeks starting today. I'm hoping they close secondary schools too. I'm not scared of this flu anyway, wee live in a very clean part of Hong Kong and even with SARS, only 1000* people died out of the 8M in the city.

I'm waiting for news, I assume tomorrow's assembly will feature this because there is way our principal, who is always too quick to react*, will fail to notice this. He might cancel monday and tuesday, the last days of school, because there hasn't been an order yet but he hasn't released any comments on the matter at all yet according to my sources.

In other news, SARS is about exactly 5 years ago, so is it a coincidence? Yes.

*=no offense intended.
Cool. My last day is Wed. next week.

Exams. And I am in the beach this weekend  :D

WAit!..

He went retarded?

I might have this flu then!
Possible a viral mutation - ?

Wee'll see what happens, keep us updated Ge
raaaaaaaaaaaaaawrrrrrrrrrrrrr bird flu strikes again
it is frightening when new and more deadly viral strains pop up
Could just be the result of a high fever.
Sounds scary.
Well, after flus, comes the terrorists...
This is pretty scary.. same as Ge64, I'm not that scared, but they're making some efforts over here to fund it... such as increase all Taxi prices by HK$1.

That's a very interesting idea indeed - "use taxis and save us from the flu!"

IDK...  might be the only method.  Generally, in Australia, people donate to help fund these sorts of things...
