good question. what if it's all a conspiracy, and really its the american governent behind it all trying to build a super bomb that will selectively destroy certain targets but not others.
(what's the attraction between the american government and conspiracy theories?)
Do it do it now

because between the american government and our (UK) government, were the most likely group to actually BE plotting this stuff lol

hope he gets the school ps3zzzzzzzzzzz. the pstriple lol!
Folding@Home basically folds protein molecules, as far as I remember; maybe I'm wrong, but there are different versions of what kind of folding you do. On the PS3, it comes with it and it's related to the protein molecules.
I've been doing this everyday day since I bought my PS3 - I usually do it as soon as I don't play a game. I made a group which I have a bunch of people contributing their works into it, so if you want to join this small group, just ask!
So this thing can be toggled on/off??
Or once you turn it on it's on forever ??
And how much power does it use exactly ??
Would this make my electric bill sky rocket ??

Yes; Folding@Home is basically like a game - you launch it; it
does not run in the background; it's a full running application. What I tend to do is launch the application and turn on my TV off. When I want to play a game, I just press the PSButton and 'Quit' and there I am back in the XMB.
As far as I know, the PS3 works a bit more than it may usually do - but I doubt that'll make your electrical bill skyrocket. All I can tell is that it's just louder when you run Folding@Home.
Cool. I'll contribute then :)
Why don't wee make our own team out of this and still contributing?
Sure! My PS3 is actually in my lounge because my Mum wants to watch Planet Earth in HD, so I'm playing Lost Odyssey on my 360 so I might not be able to fold for a while
