Well, I'll keep this short & sweet...

I've been wanting to make black xmb waves for the longest.  Even though, they are usually ugly, I like being able to utilize any hack imaginable for theme creating.  [Image: tongue.gif]

So a while ago, i read:

Quote:goto # 6937 and change 80(hex) to 7F(hex) for a black wave, change it to 91 for a white wave.

This was referring to hex editing the file "system_plugin_bg_deflate_part1.bin" in  Vulprix's TGA Wave studio.
I have tried it.  It indeed works.  [Image: smile.gif]

I've uploaded the PSP Stock Waves in black, and also, a pre-hex edited TGA Wave studio.
Just pop a tga in the folder, and hit the start.bat. And it will make you a black wave  [Image: wink.gif]

can you post a screeny?
Nice :D ! Might use this
;D but a little bit ugly one edges
the edges look a bit funky on the screenshot but cool
can u make this a black wave? it would be perfect for my new theme :p
lol i thought the wave was already white.. why change an offset for that.. and you can do it much easier with a tga then hex editing... just make the textures 1st color in the pallete another color and that color will be see through instead of black..
Is that the screenshot of it? why is it so jagged? or is it smooth and that's a bad pic?

Normaly, I don't use my wave i just hide it, but if i can find a perfect black one then I'd use it...
Yeah.   The stock waves do look terrible in black.

I'll make some good looking black waves and upload them when I get the chance   ;)
