maybe its one of firefox's famous memory bug which were never fixed at all...

or, maybe its that you have too many stuff open, say plugins, add-ons, pages with many images, videos, music...

it isn't that much to handle o_o

8 tabs won't cause 700 memory. Even 80 tabs won't. It's some other problem.

Yeah, that's odd. My system does that too, but not nearly as bad. Mine goes to 200-400MB. Im thinking it might be from the latest update for Firefox. Also, has your browser been randomly locking up at all?
