Lol, I've heard of crashed harddrives but I've never seen anything like this:

i accidentally shorted out my old HD while i was installing the drivers for my new mobo... my mobo i had just installed only had one PATA port and both my cd drive and my HD are both PATA and i had a PATA cable that allows two components but with them both connected to eachother they couldnt reach the mobo. so i had to pull my HD out and put it closer to my CD drive for a little while while i installed the drivers and after i turned on the PC i set the HD down and all of a sudden i hear sparks and my comp shuts off.. i think you know what was goin through my head... anyway there was a peice of metal underneath the HD and it shorted it out as it touched it...
