1st, It's zlib not libz,

2nd, That tutorial is for adding to a cygwin install not the precompiled toolchain,

Rule 3 says that it has to be compatible with custom firmware 3.90 M33-2 so your going to need an updated pspsdk anyway,

that tutorial worked fine on my pspdev environment it doesn't matter if your using cygwin or not.

and ya hibby's right its zlib. lol

and finally you can use the original SDK as long as your not using kernel functions and its still compatible.
There has been a lot added to the pspsdk since the Win32 precompiled toolchain was made,

I'm sure an up to date version is better than an old version,

There is no 3.80 SDK there is a 3.71 m33 SDK though :P
i never got cygwin setup right and lost interest in trying to code after that and now i don have the time to even try
Man code goes right over my head....phwoosh.....< like that :P

apart from binary though....I practically speak it.....lol j/k
