i was surfing the net and i found a page saying 4.00 firmware is going to be released!!!
heres wat it said:

"After talking to some psp people who work closely with team C+D and DAX i have heard that the PSP Firmware 4.00 may be coming out shortly.

on page THREE from the orginal thread someone also posted what the new features are(but doubt it, wish the features are real) here they are below:

· PLAYSTATION 3 Network titles can be played under PSP [Remote Play] under Game. The PSP is then used as a monitor for any game playable in
Playstation 3 game console.

Network:
· Real, Quicktime, and WMV audio and video codecs are now supported.

I think its fake as I'm sure I seen that pic before plus it's not hard to rename an eboot to ver 4.00 is it ?

Huh ? just saying the photo proves nothing but in the end time will tell.

This is bullchocolate.

1. The Sources lead here - http://www.consolespot.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1466 - that is NOT a credible source, and even if he did have a friend who knew C+D & DAX - They know as much about 4.00 as wee do - they only make custom versions of firmwares that have already been released.

2. You CAN'T add 802.11g as a feature - that's a HARDWARE LIMITATION.

3. I extremely doubt that Sony would get rights from Real and Apple to use their Multimedia Formats - and forget about WMV.

4. If Sony couldn't get the latest Flash then, they are not getting it now, let alone Shockwave.
