Actually, I've read an article about using the PSP as an educational device about a year ago. The guy who wrote it pretty much said that schools have to learn to think outside the square. He mainly mentioned it's networking capabilities.
For me, I think that the PSP's browser is probably a little too slow though... Works nonetheless I guess. But this would (obviously) only be available to rich schools.

My school is a rich school, but I'd doubt they would make us use PSPs because wee already have laptops anyway.
