You may be thinking of Snake. He was one of the characters in the Closer Look series (in the first part, in fact).  He is all about stealth, so maybe he was who you are thinking of?

No, look in the post about three new characters revealed, there was a Pokemon on the list, looked like a fighter.

Yeah, that is Lucario. He is the Mewtwo replacement. He is a fighting/steel type, and is a complete badass.
