Did you try fiddling around with the RAID setup though?

If it's just the HDD, you could also consider getting a hardware RAID controller - these are typically better than the integrated ones that come with motherboards.

yeh but i don't feel like couting down tens of dollars just for another upgrade for my crappy peice of spoon pc
