Does anyone know how to extract the audio file from opening_plugin.prx ....??

I should also say I don't want to just hex it to 3.80 or anything like that ..I need to edit the sound , so I need a wav or mp3 !!

If I recall correctly, search for RIFF, the sound starts there.

Extracting is easy, however, putting your own sound in is more difficult.

I can convert any prx/rco to a 3.80 boot sound!! I want to be able to extract the audio from any opening_plugin.prx to a wav or any format for that matter!

Alright. Do you have msn? I would like a custom opening sound prx.

i found some extracted wave data from opening prx can't be open/playback, like this.
any hint?

Done it!!!

Start off with RIFF as you had then find "fact" which is at the end of the sound



Now add it to an empty .txt file in hex workshop and save, rename .wav and open in goldwave as an ATRAC3... It opens with an error saying "Internal file size is incorrect....etc" but it plays fine!!!
