hey, I have a problem with my laptop. I was freeing up space on my laptop but found that I shouldn't have deleted a file cause when I turn my laptop on now, the error "NTLDR is missing, press ctrl alt del to restart". So, I try to fix this by installing xp again, but during this I find my"F8" key doest work!

hehe i had that problem too - my microsoft is not recognised at boot when plugged in via usb (yes the bios supports it and yes my motherboard sucks) however its like a normal keyboard when plugged in via ps2 as mentioned.
thanks people, I thought a driver or something would be needed for a keyboard but obviously not. Well I managed to recover my laptop, tis all good now, thanks
