Hello everyone! ^^
I am working on converting -lilfibz-'s theme -Devise- for 3.71, but I don't understand hex editing very well. :( I read the 3.71 offsets thread and I see where it says to edit the Y position of the Xmenu. (0x1A42F4) I found that offset, but now what? Do I edit the first number or all three sets of numbers? (bytes?) Here's the thing - I want to learn, so if someone is kind enough to help me, please don't give me the answer. Instead, please *hint* at the answer, maybe giving subtle clues as to how I'm supposed to move it up or down. That way I can kinda learn at the same time.
Thank you very much for any help, EP!!!

Ok first if you use HexWorkshop open the paf in it ,
and the find the offest you want to edit from the list,
Xmenu. (0x1A42F4) = means 1a42f4 line of the file,
Always look for the float , and edit it.
You can perform search by pressing CTRL+G( for Hex Work )
Like vegetano said XMB editor is very usefull tool.
I am using XMB editor v0.3, but it won't change the Y values; I thought it was the same problem I was having with the ppe by Takeshi where the Y values won't change, no matter what and in the newest ppe, the Y value area is greyed out. :s I don't have hex workshop - I have XVI32. Can I use this or is Hex Workshop better? I know a lot of ppl like Hex Workshop, but is that b/c it's better or just a preference? Also, I thought the floats were the 00's. :s (yes, confused again)
Thank you both very much for the fast responses! :) :D
Also, I just tried XMB editor by Ac_K on a VIRGIN 3.71 paf.prx, thinking that may make a difference. Nope.

Well edit your paf manually , with Hex Work ,and yes for me its the better hexeditor.
Got a lot of serching options , quad signed unsigned.
Ohh the offsets are set by default , you just find the offset you want in the list , and then see what it float is,and change it under your own criteria...
You're right, gsmoke. I see how much easier it is to use Hex Workshop! Anyway, which of these numbers do I edit? ALL?
I'm starting to get a little peeved b/c everything I've changed, there hasn't been any difference in the Y position. :( I don't change the zeros, do I? I wouldn't think so...
I just looked at a paf that Mythos did with Hex Workshop. I copied his numbers to a virgin paf and nothing changed in the xmb when I rebooted. That means something is seriously wrong b/c I could not mimic his paf, even though I chose the same values. I'm fed up for now. No matter what values I change, nothing happens at all. I'll come back later when I've had a bit of a breather.
