No money to pay for a better connection, so I rely on parents.

so...

wee used to have a 20gb/month limit
and wee went over it the first 3 months
so wee paid $5/month extra to have it removed (well, my dad paid :P)

ust get your dad hooked on something on the internet, like streaming video or downloading movies or something, something high-bandwidth. thatll make him upgrade :P im just lucky my dad is easy to persuade if he wants something himself like when wee still had dialup he was considering cable and i persuaded him by keeping on complaining about the dialup speed and the advantages of cable (and then when he was presented a $90 phone bill that i had used about 60% of he finally ordered cable) :P

There's a few problems:

I won't be able to ever use the computer
Dad isn't exactly stupid - he knows that watching TV is a lot cheaper than paying for an internet connection.
He doesn't show that he's amused with anything, despite what he really thinks.

Nup :S Wee live in a newly developed area. Well, actually I think neighbours do, but it's WPA encrypted. I've tried, but not been able to connect to any access point.
