im going out shopping.. duh.. and i have $100 to waste on pc equipment... so should i get a new cheap video card or a new HDD... granted im only spending 100 so i can't get anything really nice.. currently i have a stock GPU which is just the built in intel one and two 160gig HDD... i could use the extra space but it would be nice to play games a bit better too.. i have a GeForce 4 but meh its kinda outdated now and won't run in vista right so i left in my old pc.. was only a geforce4 mx anyway....  any ideas? i have a gig and a half of ram so im good on that for now...
buy me a gig stick of ram please... <_< lol j/k

go for the video card... try to get something "Vista capable"

or if you want to get HDD's, go for IDE (i had bad experiences with sata in the past... losing around 400gb of a new sata drive made me hate those fudgeers) however, redundant sata drives are win
save up your money and buy a quad core cpu with nvidia 8800gts or gtx,..
i did and i am really happy with this set,. took me some time to get the money and i be living on bread and soda for a few month's but its worth it!! vista runs super smooth and games no problem,.

:yess:
lol if i was rich id buy on for ya.. but im not so hehe

im leaning more toward a cheap vista compatible video card.. i don't care if it good enough to play stuff like crysis or not and my pc only has pci express..  not agp sadly...

ive never had a bad exp. with sata drives yet.. i got a cheap pc so theres only one ide slot which is occupied by a HDD and a dvd writer... im using on sata slot and have three left

i got the pc for cheap.. a 3.20 ghz with a gig of ram and a dvd writer for $100 i could not pass up... even its an e machine and it came with the oem version of vista ultimate so i cna put it on any pc without activation hehe

If you have to spend it today I would go hard drive.  and video card you get today wil be out dated very shortly.  At least with 100 bucks.  You should be able to find about 200Gb drive for that.  Or you can look into more ram for the existing machine.  That would boost performance.  Vista will use up to 4GB,

vista might use up 4gig but my mobo won't.. 2 gig only and i have a gig and half already... actually i went out and found an ati radeon x1550 for $65 cause the box had a dent in it and i poketed the rest... now i can play silent 3 and 4 at least.. prolly halo as well

Invest it in shares, and earn more money!

Seriously, your system's weak point probably was the graphics card, so if you wanted to round it off, probably the graphics is the best.
