how do u tell a patched lcs from an unpatched one for sure without putting the umd into the psp that is how do u recognise an unpatched copy from a patch cause i ended up with a patched lcs

The unpatched version seems to feature different pictures. As a general rule of thumb, you'll have to look for the oldest copies you can find, so they'll most likely be used. When you pop in the disc, make sure the game offers a 2.0 firmware upgrade, not anything higher.

yeo iv found that the only way i can tell is if it has a 2.00 update and not 2.60 :(

i found out by blockbuster. the umd has a pic of a gun, but the patched has the red "greatest hits" on the bottom.
