technically you don't, as there is a special firmware for the memor32 that will et you boot backups (badly) or ELF's (such as Swapmagic or cogswap) to play backups....however, you can use someone elses memor to copy the save across easily

So the memor32 also acts as a trigger disc?

So how does the memor32 trigger the independence exploit?

Don't waste your money on a memor when you can turn you memory card into one ;)

Then you can patch your burn PS2 games with ESR Patcher and use ESR loader to load the game, without swaping

I'm hoping that you will be able to reply by tomorrow, but all I would need is a Flash drive? That's even better news! So I could put these files on my iPod, and it would work just the same? This is awesome. And this would work for the PS2 slim, right? I'm guessing that it would probably work even easier because it would eliminate the need for a slide tool or a filp top on the fat PS2...
