well, usually when i format a pc, i erase the cmos, and take out the memories for a moment, and put them back, just in case there is a cmos/memory resident virus...
you didnt have one of those but its not a bad thing to do anyways...
Yes, those things that hadn't existed for about a decade can now infect your PC again.... if your running windows Vista.
Through some corrupt driver exploit I suppose?
Otherwise, I thought Windows blocked any BIOS/CMOS interaction from apps...

oh and the name of the virus is:
Trojan.Downloader.VB.VLM
It came with "flash_player.exe" from a videos site, they told me that i don't have flash player (i don't have it :P) and i downloaded the exe they suggested lol.
Everything fixed now.

ooooooh nasty trick.
make sure you have NOD32 on at all times as well has Immunity from Spybot.
I use NOD32 and AD-AWARE.
i use AVG 7.5 :( ... but i delete all viruses i encounter manually
