well i think it might be because i used 3.03 downgrader on my first downgrade to get on a cfw.  that time i didn't knew anything about keys and other stuffs.  well i was a total noob that time soo.. haha (^_^)
The only thing i rely miss is the autorun program at PSP/game/boot/eboot.pbp

I make lots of pmf's. So that not working rely sucks
i think 3.71 m33 is a good firmware but i somehow liked 3.52 m33 a lil better
i like both for diffrent reason so i have a fat (not phat that's a stupid name) with 3.52 and a slim with 3.71.. that's the best way for me cause i can make themes for both easily
OK, i seriously don't want to flame, but there is so much garbage in this thread i read that it isn't funny....

1) Pandora isn't practical for some people. And downgrading to 1.50 then going through the whole process to get to 3.71 CFW isn't practical either.
2) 3.71 is easier to brick than 3.52 in my experience. I tried to downgrade from 3.71 M33 to 3.52 M33 and perma bricked my PSP; had to make a hardware-modded pandora battery to restore.
3) With the above said, I actually do agree that everyone on a compatible PSP uses a Pandora'd battery, with a MemoryStick patched with Booster's Multi IPL loader (and the sleep fix of course, which was very hard to find for me!)
4) 3.71 is currently better for theming in my opinion, simply because of the great thread "3.71 Offsets" here on EP. But the capabilities of 3.71 modding Vs. 3.52 modding cannot be summed up in one word, or even one sentance. There are many subtle differences.
5) If you want to give yourself a title of "true PSP power user", using 3.71 M33-4 is no question - you have to. Being leading-edge is an imperitive part of being a power user!

Just my thoughts. Feel free to criticise me :)
There is still some differences between 3.52m33 and 3.71m33 customizing,. yes!
Changes made by sony in the rco files specially the topmenu,. cause of the new theme feature in 3.71,.

If you gonna edit 3.71m33 vshmain and reposition icon's or make multiple memorystick icon's you have to know that using ptf theme's in combination with your custom theme sometimes don't work,..

Thanks to gsmoke and bstronga the infobars work on 3.71m33 but still lags the ability to customize fade-in/fade-out, wich side of the xmb it comes in and scroll speed,.. wich were feature's 3.52m33 did have,.!

I am happy the slim got like 16mb!! of free space this leaves you with enough space to test your custom theme without having to recompress the prx and rco files,..

About pandora>>> Inluv pandora,..
for me, i always update to latest custom firmware if possible. cause i don't want to worry about updating only when a specific game requires a higher firmware than my current custom firmware
I'm still on 3.52 m33-2 mainly because i can't be bothered to update to 3.71. other reasons include: when 3.71 m33 was first released, there were loads of problems getting custom themes to work. once that was worked out the new process of custom theming was a bit daunting. the only reason realy I'm on custom fw is because of the themes. i don't really use homebrew that much.

so, in my opinion, i prefer 3.52 m33 just because I'm used to it. though my point isn't really justified cause I've never used 3.71 m33.
