@beaner2k, the error checker you are on about running checks the hard disk's filesystem for errors, it doesn't give a spoon about the systems files themselves.
id actually advice u to use dosbox emulator because it emulates dos a lot better than xp itself
@u_c_taker,

Command.com IS NOT DOS, or even a DOS emulator. It is a central part of the NT system.
i was kinda advising him to use dosbox
advising him to use an emulator because a core part of his OS is broke/being stopped from running, yes I can see how that would be a brilliant idea....
well it is a temporary solution for him till he repairs his os or reinstalls it
seeing that he dosent want to reinstall right now

no wonder it didnt fix my problem... its all in the past now

They are different things.

If you want to batch rename some files on your Windows system, DOSBox won't help at all.

Though I find it particularly amusing, the number of issues amtzer seems to have with computers.  It seems that nothing works for him - isn't that particularly strange?
I really think amtzer should direct questions to a PC support forum.
yeah i know dosbox has his limitation but for using a few dos stuff like padora it would be ok
Yeh i agree with you zinga but there is one problem with that...

i will forget to go look at the forum i posted there but because i go to this site more often i would be able to see a solution
