When i use windows folder options it gives me an all or nothing, and i see nothing in properties

I like having hidden files shown, but in my Muic i want to hide all the thumbnails etc, and just see the music...but i can't work it out. I feel like a fool...i bet the answers simple

I googled, but all i got was a program i don't wish to use, and some stuff about vulnerabilites in hidden files, unless i googled badly??
I Don't Think Its Possible Unless You Delete Them That Won't Show Them Anymore :)
You mean the special thumbnails that Windows Media Player downloads?

Those are protected system files so if you check the option to Hide Protected System Files, then you won't see them.

Same thing with Thumbs.db
i don't have thumbs.db....i turned that one off

And i guess that all i can do, though i liked being able to see everything on my PC cheers for the help anyway, this is more annoying than not seeing everything
I'm sure there are a lot of pc applications that can do that
try this one to hide folders:

There's a registry edit which you can do to disable thumbnails for the "special" folders.  Alternatively, you can force ALL folders to be the same.

What do you want?
basically, that first one, disabling thumbnails would be perfect i think
Actually, wait - I think I misunderstood you previously.  Basically, what you're trying to say is that you want hidden files shown, but NOT shown in the music folder?
If so, why do you have hidden files in your music folder, if it's not thumbs.db?
You can hide files by opening a command prompt and doing

attrib +h < path to the file >

Of course this might get tedious if there is a lot of them....

You could probably use a script but that would more than likely involve quite a bit of reading. ;P
