yeah what I would do is downgrade using pandora and upgrade to 3.71m33 after.

remember you need another PSP to be able to make a pandora

yes i did'nt change the game folder to 3.52 kernal, still the installer worked.

I thought 3.52 M33 defaulted GAME kernel to 3.52...

Uhh... lock switch?  You said directional keys not working, but thing boots up.


With the recovery menu:
1) Toggle USB
2) Get the 3.71 » 1.50 downgrader
3) Install to the correct location
4) Run the 1.50 downgrader.

It's one thing I don't like about 3.71 - no reflashing...

I had a problem, quite like that, when some games started to malfunction. Fixed it through the use of Pandora.

i shall attempt to answer your respnses without causing an argument because you seem to have taken it the wrong way - especialy as i wasn't asking or suggesting the ideas to you.

i suggest it because it can happen - and if it does the psp will be virtually useless - you being the expert on all things psp should know that :/. i restored an image of 3.71 onto my psp and it didnt work - UNTIL i had seperatly reflashed my backup of my keys.

if the keys became corrupt NOTHING would fix it unless he had a backup of the keys. also if the psp has bad blocks, particularly around the boot sectors, reflashing 1.5 wouldnt fix those - it could make things worse.

correct it wouldnt affect the keys UNLESS his flash had some kind of corruption - say from the usb bugs that 3.52 HAD.
