QJ.net Wrote:The Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew development scene keeps on surprising the video game world with its leaps and bounds in terms of creativity and ingenuity, and this update is no different. Behold - DarkRayne's jigkick battery, made from a Sony PlayStation Portable Slim & Lite battery, and he's got a video to prove it.

Wee're still not sure how true this one is, so wee're filing this one under rumors for the time being.

Of course, as wee really can't understand Polish, wee can't verify at the moment if this is a legitimate claim or not - but the video itself does look convincing. Note that he shows everything from start to finish, making it clear through various times in the clip that he is in fact using a PSP Slim & Lite's battery.

How did he do it? Details are scant, but according to DarkRayne himself, he used a software modification process to "pandorize" the battery itself, and not with a hardware modification.

A little bit of refresher for those of us unfamiliar with a JigKick battery: it's basically a battery used for unbricking a bricked PSP, or downgrading a Sony PSP with any firmware version. Until then, please note once more that wee're filing this under rumors, so let's not try anything with our Sony PSP Slim batteries just yet. As wee're all waiting, you can go ahead and check out the video in the embed below.

Its true you can make a slim battery into a Pandora battery.

All you have to do is open up the battery and disable the eeprom chip.

The battery will report the same serial number as a Pandora battery.
this is cool tnx
Cool Next level with slims!
Lets see what this cost make, they say also modified AC trough USB charger or somethin like that. The guy claim he need more slim baterrys to make more test.Well till the end of the week i guess he will make a guide. This is real offcourse but no one knows, they say no hardware modifications of the ,,battery,, but if you have to cut your old AC to make this, i guess i will keep the old pandora.
well it is quite interesting
Oh, that's smart if you only modify your AC adaptor. I was wondering where he will be making tests if Sony is patching them up fast as hell.
This seems interesting..only if I had a slim.
If this is true itll be good for slim psp owners :D hope it does work
i think this fake.
