Definitely - I hate those sites (meh, I have a poo poo load of stuff disabled anyway - eg Flash, images etc etc)

Just one thing I recommend - sign up for one of those free hosting services which offer a large amount of webspace and traffic. I'm using Quotaless - seems to be fine. Basically, sign up, and set up your FTP client. After everything's set up, it's hell easy to upload stuff, especially a lot of files at once. And it allows you to use direct links, rather than referring users to sites like Sendspace etc.

zingaburga i get like 15000 downloads a month on rapidshare, will that hosting site allow that? plus its copyrighted them sony files.
i would like complete control over a forum, and that would do it ,so that hosting site would be good as mine doesn't support .php .

Doesn't really matter - just use it as another mirror. If they delete your account, simply remove the link.
Anyways, 15000 downloads a month - considering that the package is probably around 30MB??? IDK. Anyways, that's ~440GB - yeah, quite a lot
But, according to Quotaless, they don't have a traffic limit (unless you consider 2147483648 MB a hassle).
As for copyrighted Sony material, I doubt they'd know, much less bother to investigate.
But as I previously said, it doesn't really matter - just use that as a storage place - you can always easily remove links later - you don't loose anything, really.

Okay. A lot of people use those forum hosting services, but I hate them (like you are XD). As you can see, my hosting service is FreeHostia - yeah, I use
two hosting services - Quotaless to store files, and Freehostia for my main site.
FreeHostia seems good - offers 250MB space, 5GB/month transfer along with PHP/SQL support and NO ADS!!! It's quite amazing IMO.

Thanks at first i thought you meant use Quotaless as your website hoster and use it for file hosting. but just use it for the storage you say.
and yes free forums are a pain in the donkey, its a pity eircom don't use php. so i may think of use that aswell. thanks

I doubt it. It says you have that much bandwidth, but seriously, do you think they're really gonna let you use it?
It's the same with space - they're obviously not gonna let you use unlimited space - they don't have unlimited space in the first place.
