Yeah to be able to pull something like that off it would need to be a team effort,
UG AND HIBBY ASWELL AS ZINGA should work together ! TEAM EP!
I've given up on the PSPSDK setup.
One thing that seems to be an issue with many Linux installer things - they aren't exactly easy to use if you don't have an active internet connection...
so maybe linux on psp soon?
well sony have been pwnt once again
that would be really cool but just EXPERTS can do it lol
Well, they've pretty much reverse-engineered the entire firmware, haven't they? And aren't the PRX's the PSP's drivers? If so, couldn't they just code a new OS to use those PRX's?
Your right a firmware that still does the sony stuff would still need the sony code (for now at least, everything can be reverse engineered given enough time), but that doesn't stop someone turning there PSP into a much shinier version of the GP2x for example.
That's what wee mean. Instead of %97 sony code and 3% homebrew code, have it be %3 sony code and %97 homebrew code. All wee use the sony code for is the device drivers like WiFi, UMD, POPS, etc.
Doesn't mean that it's easy though...
It takes a lot of effort to write those things...
