I just want to warn you...
Toggle USB (flash0) isn't fixed that much in 3.71 M33-2, I accessed to FLASH0 via USB Connexion & VSHMENU, I renamed vshmain.prx to vshmaini.prx, flashed another vshmain.prx, my PSP Slim & Lite froze, and now it's FULL Bricked, even Despertar Cementario doesn't work... I heard same reports with Fats but Pandora still works on them...
:@
You edited a prx while in the vsh flash access, that doesn't seem the brightest of things to do.
I'd be quite surprised if it didn't brick. As a general rule of thumb, you should never use USB flash0 inside the XMB...
Dunno about the Slim, but I see no reason why Pandora shouldn't work.
Sorry to hear that you lost a PSP.
Anyway, thanks for letting us know about this - let it be a warning not to use vshmenu to flash stuff...
what is Despertar Cementario Exactly???
and yeah I see why it would brick if editing using VSHmenu. . . since I only use that to access UMD or for changing clock speeds; . . . . flash0acces should be left for RECOVERY IMO.
tht why i use cxmb instead and it safe.... don't dare to flash my slim...
the vsh usb flash access still has bugs if the file is in use. i think it must be something to do with it can't actually delete the file and then tries to copy a new copy of the file over and hence bricks. besides your always safer using recovery mode for all flash access. hey at least you have pandora to recover it.
Maxime why you left 2 files with PRX extension , and almost the same body?
What i do is changing the name to vshmain.pr , and this way the system don't get so confused, its like cxmb , it hooks by an extension...
Well im sorry to hear that about your Slim.
Pandora have to work , it always works , find a dump , from somebody , and restore without IDstorage.
Edit : you was using XMB Flash0 acces ? Well pandora have to work in all situations, only damaged Hardware will stop pandora ... Try again.

This is my theory :P
It's in use. You delete the file, but the PSP is, in reality, constantly executing something (probably vshmain.prx). By deleting it, PSP no longer can find any executable code to run, and probably crashes due to that. And, thus, the write operation fails. Though I don't see why it would stuff up recovery, other than possible corruption of the filesystem.
I always write to flash from xmb. Just not prx's. I only do RCO's from the xmb since they are loaded into memory and not constantly being read. I think RCO's are only read for off screen/undisplayed icons, cause I've never had problems with flash RCO's from the xmb, flash, disbale usb restart new menu. -shrugs-
Though, I wouldn't suggest it. It's just that I don't care since I have pandora...
it seems work for my phat on m33-2... i flashed paf/vsh/rco more than 50 times today...
