(o Y o) Wrote:zinga you should invest in a 36gb raptor, i would just use to install os on and it will boot hella fast, or even better like a 10gb 15,000 rpm scsi drive lol
SCSI :O :O  That costs heaps.

Though isn't SAS taking over SCSI anyway?

And 36GB Raptors really aren't worth it.  I'd rather wait a few seconds than clear out my pocket...  If I wanted a fast OS, I wouldn't be running Windows anyways.
There was a thread about this ages ago...

i cbf finding it at the moment.

Anyways,

CPU: AMD Sempron 2800+
Motherboard: Foxconn something. Really old. Only supports AGP. (reason why i havn't bothered to get graphics. No point getting a graphics card if I'm going to upgrade mobo soon)
RAM: IGB Kingston + 500MB Legend.
HDD: Samsung 250GB IDE + Maxtor 80GB IDE. Both at 7200RPM.
Graphics: Integrated graphics... lol.
Sound: Integrated Sound
FDD: Yeah, i still got one of those.
Optical Drive: Pioneer DVR-110D DVD-RW Drive + Some other crappy old Sony CD drive i got from school for free.
LAN card: D-Link PCI adapter.

Monitor: V7 21 inch LCD.

Peripherals and other stuff:

Keyboard: Something generic.
Mouse: Razer Diamondback. (glows blue, looks cool. Some dude who's parents own a casino in HongKong gave it to me for free :mdr:)
Speakers: KTX Stereo speakers (really old)

OS: Windows XP SP2.

So yeah, nothing special, especially compared to what some of u guys have.

Complete budget machine. Got it for like $400 a few years ago. And added some RAM and an additional HDD since then.

Going to upgrade (get a completely new computer) sometime later (lol, i said that last time in the other thread 4 months ago too...).
nice!

lol, that's what I meant...  :clown: That's a huge amount of Storage!

nah, just for comparison, the total amount of data transfered of dattebayo's releases since they started counting is already 13870 Terabytes.
