no they didnt. the battery from slim doesn't block the user from changing the battery code.
well as soon as me can get an eprom dump from the slim battery wee will be able to make a pandora from it . . .( i think).
if sony codes a program that will be in the battery, and that program refuses ANY connections by the way Battery and PSP, then you won't be able to do that.

No, they can't issue out new batteries and whatnot. New batteries may make current gen batteries rarer, but still won't stop Pandora.

Thing is, wee're not using that battery, so moot point.
Even if Sony made a new firmware which requires a new special type of battery, it'll never be able to stop the PSP searching the battery for an IPL.
im not talking about psp slims battery, im talking about a new battery.
yeah and I don't think sony will do that last thing since it will force ALOT of people to have to buy NEW batteries so alot of people will get frustrated with sony and hate them . .. .
no, they just need to replace the slims battery with the new one, so no one will know that were replaced.
