No, I mean have you tried every Conexant HD Audio driver in the last link I gave you, there are more as the post goes on and do they all give the unable to find media error?

What is your EXACT version of Vista, and is it 32 or 64bit?

If your on 32 bit Vista of any flavour you can try this out, it's a microsoft driver you may be able to use

Apparently the Waikiki version of your audio hardware hasn't got any vista lovin' yet.

im on ultimate 32bitit gave an error saying "wee can't find HD audio device"

Then you are out of luck, there a few people who managed to get the winXP driver to work from the HP site, other than that you just have to wait for the official driver to come out.
