Don't know if old news is old on this one, just ran across it tonight, and saw it was posted about a week ago, pics of the Halo X-Box 360:

Reghardware. co. uk Wrote:Carrying a price tag of £280, the special edition console sports an appropriately themed wireless controller - Spartan Green is the official colour designation - a 20GB hard drive, wired headset, component-video AV cable, Ethernet cable, HDMI cable, Halo 3 gamer pics and theme exclusive downloads via Xbox Live, Xbox Live Silver membership and one-month Xbox Live Gold membership.

Based specifically on Halo 3, which isn't due to arrive in UK shops until 25 September, the war-torn, post-apocalyptic green machine also features classic Halo orange shades around the top and on the machine's disc-loading tray front.

Across the topside and around the power-on button of the console, Microsoft has also sketched in Halo-equse designs and added a Halo emblem, which is also included on the front flap that conceals the console's USB ports.

Sadly however, you have to spend yet more of your hard-earned if you want the game itself, 'cause that isn't included.
280 pounds = 564 USD, by the way.  Don't know how wide-spread the availability is gonna be, still looking for more info.  Regardless, I know Spartan is gonna be thinking hard about this one.
If you ask me, the creators lack creativity...

Seriously, why does every "special edition" of a console have to resemble the original casing?  Couldn't they have thought of something more different, like, umm, err, something from Halo?

... >_>

Otherwise, interesting, though a paint job would cost you less :P

I agree. but it still looks nice.
looks nice, it looks like I just shot it out of my nose, you won't get halo 3 with it, it has no extra features what so ever. A seriously pointless piece of kit.
^ Yeah.  Considering people pay extra for nice looking PC cases (I don't), it probably would've worked if it were more different to the usual 360.
i want to get a 360 to play halo3
Looks cool.
Actually, it does come with "extra features."  It comes with special halo themes and gamer pics.  That's all that is special about it, besides the look.
my cousin wants to buy this, I looked into it and it comes with 1 month gold xbox-live membership and silver membership. . .
