Ok i got my first lap top. Its a Toshiba Satellite A130/A1355 Series. It has a intel pentium ® T2080 @ 1.73 GHz. It has a 80 gig HD and 1014 MB memory (im going to add more soon). I was just wondering if theres a way to take all the pre installed programs from my PC. Also can my PC run the ultimate edition of Vista? Also is there anything else i can do to make this baby last a long time?
usually computers and laptop's has a sticker on it that says ''designed for windows xx" like my laptop says its designed for windows xp and it also says vista compatable on the same sticker. well mine does,, and what do u mean by 'take all the preinstalled programs from my PC'?
There probably are ways to "copy" programs over with settings, but anyone with a decent knowledge of computer will strongly recommend against it.

Vista Aero Glass will depend on the laptop's graphics capability.

If you want it to last long, first tip is to not run Vista :P
Lol but it came with Vista. Also my 80 gig HD is filled with 60 gigs of pre installed programs!!! I guess ill buy another HD.
you would only be able to buy an external HD though, unless you want to take the whole thing apart
lol! uninstall some! that's alot of pre-installed programs.
you should know already that im Lazy. Also what is the best anti virus software for Vista? I have MCaffe alreay installed in this but it looks like it take alot of my memory.

Install XP x64 then. (is that a 64 bit CPU?)

Chances are that you won't need 60 GB of programs, so wiping the HDD will be best anyway.
i hate vista
