From Maxconsole comes the news from Stonecut that a new version of IRShell is on the way. I'll let his words fill you in on the details:
I'm really excited to see 2 player PSX games coming, though it's not quite in the way wee expected, it's gonna be good nonetheless.
Stonecut Wrote:I wanted to let you know that there will soon be a new iR Shell version released by AhMan (maybe another 1-2 weeks until all testing is done).
It will fully support video output to your PC via RemoteJoy. This RemoteJoy implementation will have greatly (!) improved PSP game compatibility and will also introduce PS1/PSX game output to your PC monitor for the first time. Display almost anything on your monitor that iR Shell can load !
But the *real* breakthrough is: Full 2-player support for PS1/PSX games in POPS !!!
You will finally be able to play your favourite PSX multi-player games against your friends. Player 1 either uses the PSP pad or PC Keyboard/Game controller and Player 2 uses either the PC Keyboard or PC Game controller. Player 1 uses the PSP screen and Player 2 the PC monitor - or both !
Other new features includes a completely redesigned alarm clock which will work even if your PSP is in *sleep mode*. With it you will be able to use the REAL alarm function without wasting PSP battery.
