I've used this all the time for audio conversions. I don't like it's video conversion however.
Oddly, v0.6.x doesn't work well, but v0.5.x works for me.
It's pretty good for audio converting anyways, as it inputs through MPlayer (can be changed) and outputs to some of the best encoders like LAME, oggenc2 and NeroAAC. Has a few oddities, like trying to standardize VBR settings, but doing it in an odd way.
I don't think resampling is done through SSRC though :(
For my music on PSP, I typically convert with these settings:

If quality isn't such an issue, try a quality setting of 2 instead of 3.
Or you can try LC-AAC:

Haven't tested NeroAAC with VBR, but the improvements of VBR over CBR/ABR encoding doesn't seem to be that much. Unfortunately, the PSP only supports LC-AAC.
I really hate SUPER - it has very limited options, and it's interface is very counter-intuitive (why am I forced to select a resolution from their preset options?).
I would still stick to XviD4PSP for video conversions.
