I've noticed quite a few bands changed and either got slammed or loved..

To name a few..

Marilyn Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me (I thoroughly enjoyed - but I DO miss some heaviness)
Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight (Oh dear, this was a complete fail..)
Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist (I have some fave tracks.. That's the Way, Bring the Light, Neverlost, Bleeding the Orchid...)
Korn - "Untitled" (Rolling Stones declared the beginning of the end for Korn, yet other sites say its pure genius. Like me.)

I personally think its great some artists are trying new stuff out.

What's your opinion on this?
Marilyn Manson I like
linkin park I use to like
Korn- old korn is better
Dream Theater - Systematic Choas, Newer/harder sound, A dream I had since hearing Train Of Thought, I am 100% with there new sound.

Fuck Kevin Moore, Jordan Rudess For the win
