OK i know ive read the tuts but its driving me crazy,im trying to make my own top m icons on photo shop 7.
1. I start by click new make sure its 64x64 pixel and 256 pixel black.ok im in.
2. get a font e.g white, place it in middle and drag to fit nice in 64x64 black box ok.
3. go to save pic, save as 32 BMP ok.
4. go to Zinga's RCO edit get a clean top menu, click replace on icon e.g game and it lets me and shows me my image at 64x64.
5. put it in flash0/vsh/resourse,hard boot and everything in top menu ok sept the game icon and there is no image at all!:(

sorry its a bit hard to go through without me going on and on,but that's a basic run through of what happens, ive made my own pmf intro and opening_plugin,click sounds e.c.t but this is getting on my tits!
Please Help me someone before i go mad,im new to photo shop and its the only app of that sort i have, thanks guys i know im gonna take a beatin for this thred:(
my best guess is: alpha channels
use the channel tab (next to the layer tab)
select the parts you want to be visible (magic wand tool), then just like you make a new layer in the layer tab make a new channel, this will be the alpha channel and only the white selection thing (after you create it) is what's gonna show
try playing around with that, I'm pretty sure that's how you do it, but it may be the opposite (chooose what you don't want and make a channel) anyways i hope this helps
