Well, I just ran the TCP/IP optimizer. Supposed to make your internet go faster. But when I restarted the comp, I can't see my desktop.
So your probably wonder how I can be typing this. I can still press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open task manager, and I can choose to run a new task. So I ran firefox.exe and got here. But if I type Desktop, It goes up for a sec then gives an error saying it can't find a specific file (I think in C:/Documents or something, the message went away pretty fast.)
I haven't went on someone elses account so I'm not sure if it's just me.
I'll try to find the error message.

Anyone know what might have happened?
(By the way, while I'm running Firefox, there isn't a taskbar but just the blank background I have)

Error is something like "idilist ; xxxxx not working C:/Documents'
Need more info,

What is the error number?
0:2460
Are you running XP?
to run the desktop try running explorer.exe
1,  Press CTRL + ALT + DEL

2,  If you have a setup where that doesn't automatically open Task Manager - then click on Task Manager

3,  Click on the Processes tab

4,  Look for "explorer.exe"

5,  If it's there then right click it and select "End Process Tree" if not then skip that step

6,  Click on File

7,  Click on New task (run)

8,  In the dialogue box type explorer.exe

9,  Click OK

10,  That should bring up the desktop icons and taskbar if so then reboot and skip Step #11 (next one)

11,  If it doesn't bring up the desktop or icons repeat Steps 6 through 7 only type %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

12,  Restore to an earlier point
well, explorer.exe here's what happens
the desktop came up then went back about 4 times, so I'm going to try the system restore thing that you said

i wonder if i go to a farther away point warcraft will work... hm

back in time!
Well I'm happy it worked,

-Here is a rule i always try to stick to-

Its always a good thing to make a restore point before you install anything,

Then if all seems ok after install make another restore point,
