Squee, once you figure out irshell (it takes a bit, have patience), I think you'll really love it. Main things I love about it are the pmf player and file browser in it, the pdf reader included (I know, you can find it elsewhere, it's just handy having it bundled) and the ability to turn off audio channels in games and replace it with your own music, You can mute the in game music and play your's from the memstick.
It's also a full xmb replacement, you can run everything from it and never need your psp's xmb interface.
This is great news. Too bad I can't make use of it as I went back to 3.51 M33-6 due to some compatibility issues with my homebrews, PSXs and ISOs.
Awesome. Installing now. It patches pspbtncnf.bin, though. So I'll have to figure that out if or when I want some vshmain.prx customizations. Unless bstronga posts some irshell patched bins with his little modification as well. (I'm assuming irshell's patcher will see that something's been modified bstronga's bin files and error out.)
Cool update. Still a while before it becomes an XMB replacement, but I use it sometimes for some purposes.
Not yet an XMB replacement IMO. Some things I would love:
- Fonts are too small - makes navigating it a pain at times
- It's picture viewer could really use some improvement (handling of alpha, better support for larger sizes etc)
- Music player doesn't support shuffle - plus requires a little setting up to get it working each time
- Does lack some things such as setting up Network settings etc - probably not much can be done about this I guess
Would've been so much pwnage if iR Shell was open source - I'm certain many projects could be merged into this one, like PMF player, PMP-Mod, AT3 player, PePViewer etc.
Still a wonderful piece of work however XD
gimme Game Music Gear integration, and it'll be a huge hit.
