General discussion of the game happens here. Talk about your progress, how you're finding the game, share screenshots or game footage and if you're doing a live stream of the game, this is the place to let us know.
I haven't been playing a whole lot, but I've been enjoying it. The motion blur is completely out of control, and I really wish they'd patch in an option to disable it, but it's not stopping me from playing the game completely. I'm still figuring out my favourite characters, but so far I'm really liking Sice, Cater, and Seven.
i was going to ask about the blur thing (the only thing keeping away from type-0)
Got it but haven't started it yet. Looking forward to it though. I did see things about motion blur, about to find out I guess.
Expecting the game through the post today! I hadn't heard about the motion blur - curious to see what it's like now.

Edit: It's here! :D

A lot of people aren't bothered by it, but it drives me crazy. The first time I played, I put the game down for a week or so because of the motion blur. Oh, and the depth of field when locked on is also really terrible.

But if those don't bother you, then the game is great.

Niiiice!

Imma crack into it later tonight if I have the time.
Literally only just started and I quite like it so far. The real time battles are fun - the options in approach keep it away from "hack and slash" though I've been playing it a lot like one so far. I need to get used to the controls.

Starting with a party of three has been kinda strange - especially when they're all equipped and ready - it's clearly not necessary to play as Ace but with the way the opening cutscene plays out you feel kinda obligated - is there no main protagonist here?

Not as far as I've seen. The whole class is the "protagonist".

Just started it myself this morning for about an hour!

Yes it does manage to achieve that feeling of being traditional Final Fantasy where you can cast a spell and watch it hit, but also that action RPG feel where you can be dodging and hacking your way through enemies. Has a real Crisis Core feel to it (which I love).

Yeah I think wee are pretty much at the same point, it's just the introduction to the game that has it established like this. I was the same as you though and felt inclined to play as Ace.

I totally understand everyone complaints about the motion blur though. I didn't think it would be much of a big deal but it goes full on motion blur mode with a simple twitch of the camera, and that's the problem. You also can't change the camera control speed which is annoying so Im still getting used to making smaller adjustments to my camera movements or you looks all the way left/right/up/down in a blurry mess.

This is definitely something they need to patch in the future.

I got some screenies of my adventures so far:
