Dust off your PSPs folks. It's that time again. Time to get some more of that "system software stability" with 6.61.

New games? Well, this week Xseed Games released "Brandish: The Dark Revenant" for PSP on US PSN.

Love seeing a new FW update for the good ol PSP - though I read the only reason for this update is because that psp game you mentioned used the latest pspsdk which happens to sign games with this new 6.61 therefor requiring said FW.  Have yet to see someone do a full teardown of the fw, though i havent looked either.

It's probably just "security" stuff again but Sony weren't too concerned about releasing it, based on what you've said. Kinda funny a new release would prompt this.

The draw to the right of my leg in my desk is full of 3 working PSP's right now. 1 being my pride and joy FFVII PSP 2000 that served me so well for like 6 years and 2 PSP Go's because they are sexy and I love them.

I'll update them all if there is to be a 6.61 ME customer firmware.
