I'm of an original ta-076 mobo. I bought the psp the day after it came out in the UK. It Came with 1.50 which I then updated to 2.00 (I had no idea homebrew existed!) I'm Fairly new to the psp softmodding scene so if it would be possible to explain the steps to get out of this mess in laymans terms then that would be a great help. I'm not meaning to be rude or anything;P it's just half the stuff that's been said in the last few posts makes no sense at all to me. Also what I don't understand is how come if I copy the backups of FLash0 and Flash1 that are on my computer over to the psp's flash0 and 1 I still get a bsod?  Is there some other area of flash memory that is hidden that's still corrupted? I thought that everything the psp needs to run is kept in flash 0 and 1. How come if I copy my working backups over I still get a bsod?:@

I really hope I'm not totally screwed as I've semi bricked my psp so many times and it's always pulled out working again. I'm skint as well so I can't buy a new one and the newq one probably won't be able to run anything homebrew if it comes with anything  over 3.50. There's got to be a way out of this as I can still access recovery and the psp still turn on and  boots but I don't understand why I keep  getting a bsod. Help me!!!!!SadistSadistSadist
Why has no-one said the obvious
Reflash 3.4OE from Recovery instead, it loads fine, and cleans out the flash perfectly

if this works for you then never ever do that a gen lol
Thanks roberth, dunno how I didnt think of that!:wink2: I'll try it now

by the way: I'm called Robert H too
well i did say that was possible in my own way :P

@Peacefully Disturbed
thanks for clearing that up for me - i guess i did misunderstand. your explanation is very clear so now i finally fully understand what the problem was.
:great:Hey Hey! It worked!!!!!:yipi::wink2::yipi:

Thanks for your help everyone! Dunno how I didn't think of that before. I now keep the oeupdate flasher in my recovery game folder in case it breaks whilst I'm away from my computer.

Thanks again!:great:
I've got no idea why you didn't think of that before - especially as I recommended the same thing a dozen or so posts ago.

PSPKiller - If you wish, PM me with your exact situation and I'll see what I can do for you.

Quote:I had the same problem, ..... except the registry foler (and Windows would say it couldn't delete it, repeatedly) - I actually just flashed 3.40OE back onto it using Recovery (since that's all I could get to) and all was well again. .....

Strange how no-one listens to sense, but stumble happily through foolishness....no offence to TC, the absence of logic in said situation is understandable
