here why i think its infected:
it opens up internet explorer and goes on wierd websites some have my ip address at the front it goes a lil suting like this

http://myip(obviously i aint giving it out)/my computer/c://program files/sierra/SWAT 4/content/system/swat4.exe

or

http://myip(obviously i aint giving it out)/my computer/c://ijji/soldierfront

that's just a few

then it jus pops up random adverts aswell like kiss.com or some next $hit

please could someone help

ps

i have done 2 scans with ad-aware all that's come up with is tracking cookies

and with avast! its found 3 trojans(in my windows.old)
try spybot search and destroy its free and destroys most virus and finds more virus's than most programs and it has the option of delete on startup on virus it can delete there and then
If you think that your pc is very bad , you should start backin up things you still want from your PC . Discard any EXE , or installer as they maybe are infected , get more information about what virus is this , backup things and format your hard drive , then you should be good to go.
hey amzter all mods and seniors can see your ip address

well i know at least mods can see it
lol seriously that's very unsafe on my behalve
not really unless someone here hates you alot but everyone heres friendly
im safe because im at the library lol
ok i have found these to suspicious processes called

kttxofay.exe and sxuhvgoj.exe when i ended them all the pop ups and shnit have stoped *touch wood*

is there a way t stop them from booting on start up (not using msconfig)

i think the same thing might be happening to me... i have a bunch of random windows pop-up in IE
and only on my account too...
why not use msconfig? That's what I've always used to stop spyware processes from starting. Use it to stop the process, then after a reboot. go to the path specified in msconfig and delete those suckers. Or do a search for them if there is no path.

Also, clear out your temporary cache in safe mode:

press F8 when booting, boot into safe mode, navigate to C:\documents and settings\you usename\local settings\temp    this is a hidden folder so you may need to show hidden folders in the folder settings.
delete everything in that folder. sometimes nasty exes like to hide in there. don't worry about deleting something you shouldn't have, it's only temp files that would be deleted eventually anyway.

then run ad-aware again and make sure everything is clean.

then, if you're using IE...clear the temporary internet files cache, and the cookies. (in IE7, tools»delete browsing history)

if you're having problems with IE7 settings, like stuff is being changed that you set, like a homepage, use hijackthis it can also detect startup processes and stuff that msconfig can't see....be careful when fixing things that it finds though, always read the info on the process that it gives you.

If those exes come back even after you delete them, start doing searches on google for the exe names and see if there are removal tools. some spyware can be really nasty to get rid of.

after working for 2 years in tech support, I've seen my fair share of viruses and spyware

do a full search for kttxofay.exe and sxuhvgoj.exe including wondows folder and hidden files and folders then delete them when the search finds them
