I just watched the first gameplay video of MGS4, and I got to say, I was impressed.
Here's a link to the download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VQEFVIHO ( thanks to Eggroll for the upload :) )
* warning, file is > 700MB, big tasty resolution (ie if you were actually playing the game on your 720P HDTV) *
If downloading that monster isn't to your liking, try this streaming video brought to you by Kojima Productions...

Also, if I miss any details, post 'em. I tried to be thorough, but I might have let some details slip through the cracks.
- Snake can now walk while crouched, instead of only standing or prone
- The style seems to be a bit more FPS-ish, and from what I saw, they might've changed the controls a bit. I'm guessing they mapped the weapon to a shoulder button, cause in the video there's a lot of run n' gun with strafing.
- I think there's another type of "soldier" Metal Gear besides the Gekko. It's a flat bird-like robot that functions as a bomber of sorts. Huge wing-span too-about 8 feet
- Default weapon aiming is over-the-shoulder a-la GRAW/Gears of War, but you can still zoom into first-person
- Snake has many new combat moves, like a sideways roll while standing and prone, and now he can flip on his back while prone, too.
- The triangle button is now a context-sensitive action with an icon that shows up on the bottom of the screen when you can do something, a-la Gears of War. It handles climbing ledges, going in and out of cover, opening doors, etc.
- The overall interface/HUD is the same, although it has a very futuristic feel to it.
- The camo system is mainly automatic, but you can select specific textures for his suit and put on uniforms and such.
- Motion sensing is put to good use, handling leaning and I'm guessing dodging.
- The oil barrel replaces the beloved cardboard box, because let's face it, a cardboard box doesn't exactly blend-in on a battlefield
- Finally, you can take soldiers' weapons! Just hold them up or CQC them, and they'll drop their weapons. You can also pat them down to find additional items.
- The series trademark humor is back, like Snake's idle animation of him rubbing his back after crouch-walking for an extended period
- Snake punched a guy in the junk and knocked him out.
- Oh, and did I mention Raiden is now a badass cyborg ninja?
