I was poking around the 3.51 RCO's, just to see what was in there, and I noticed a bit of text that could be a sign of things to come in the future.
I looked at the text data for "game_install_plugin.rco" and found the following:
What I'm thinking is that this shows Sony will release downloadable stuff in the future. Not stuff you download off the internet, but stuff you install from a disc. One thing that came to mind was Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops+. Maybe you buy the disc, then install the content from the disk onto your memory stick, then access the new content in the original game. I know Sony is gonna start the "Playstation Spot" download service later this fall, but maybe they'll start releasing content on discs for the Wi-Fi-impaired.
